New research suggests that broccoli is an
effective drug for type 2 diabetes.

A research published in the journal Science Translational Medicine has revealed that broccoli powder (extract) is capable of controlling blood sugar. This research was done in several stages. In the first phase, research was done on mice. This showed that sulfurfen is helpful in reducing the sugars and glycated hemoglobin excreted in liver cells. At the same time, in the second phase, 97 patients suffering from diabetes were advised to take broccoli powder for 12 weeks. It was found that sulforaphane helps speed up blood sugar levels.
