The process of recruitment to the posts of sub-inspectors in the NIA is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). SI in NIA is recruited by SSC through Joint Graduate Level (CGL) Examination.Candidates are selected for appointment on the declared vacancies for the posts of Group B and Group C in various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government through the SSC CGL Examination to be held every year, out of which SI in NIA (Group B ) Post is also included. At present, the process of application for the SSC CGL 2024 examination is underway, the last date of which has been set as 31 January 2024.

Qualification for direct recruitment of Sub-Inspector in NIA (NIA SI Recruitment Qualification)

Candidates will have to appear in SSC CGL exam to get government job in the posts of Sub-Inspector in NI. The qualification prescribed for appearing in SSC CGL examination is a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.In addition, the age of the candidates should not be more than 30 years on the date fixed in the year of examination. However, in the maximum age limit, relaxation of 3 years for reserved sections OBC candidates, 5 years for SC / ST candidates, 10 years for differently abled candidates.

Selection process for direct recruitment of Sub-Inspector in NI (NIA SI Recruitment Selection Process)

The CGL exam conducted by SSC for direct recruitment of Sub-Inspector in NIA consists of four stages – Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4. In the first phase of Tier 1 and Tier 2 examinations, questions are asked from subjects like general information, general intelligence and reasoning, English, quantitative interest, statistics etc.In these stages, successful candidates have to appear in Tier 3 written test in which candidates have to solve detailed answer questions in English and Hindi (essay / abstract / letter / application form etc.). Then the final stage is computer proficiency test / data entry skills test in Tier 4.The information about the scheduled syllabus for various stages of CGL exam can be obtained from the notification. The list of candidates declared successful in all the stages is sent by the Commission to the concerned departments for further processing.

Sub-Inspector Salary in NIA (Sub-Inspector Salary in CBI)

Sub-Inspectors in NI are appointed at Group B level, on which pay is given every month as per Pay Matrix Level 6 (Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,24,400) of 7th Pay Commission. Apart from this, many other monthly allowances and facilities are also given.
